We’re pleased to announce the expansion of our service portfolio with the launch of a new consulting unit, created to support and guide luxury hotels through their strategic and operational development.
Over the past few years, we have significantly strengthened our global presence, opening new offices in the US and, most recently, Brazil. With our new consulting unit, we are responding to the growing demand for integrated, interdisciplinary advisory services within the luxury hospitality sector.
Through this new division, we will support luxury hotels throughout the entire project and hotel lifecycle. Our services include strategic brand and market positioning, support during openings and pre-openings, sales and distribution strategies, and the development of integrated marketing, PR and communications concepts.
We will also support hotels with the establishment of relevant partnerships, the optimisation of operational processes and quality standards, budget planning and controlling, and the further development of existing concepts and strategies. Through this holistic approach, our aim is to provide comprehensive, efficient and tailored support to hotels both nationally and internationally.
Speaking about the launch, our owners Florian Schaible and Ferdinand von den Benken said: “With this new unit, we are creating a division that supports luxury hotels holistically — strategically, operationally and through communications. Particularly in the luxury segment, we are seeing increasing demand for interdisciplinary consulting that brings together brand positioning, structured operational implementation and creative communications.”
Alongside our two managing directors, the new division draws on the extensive hospitality experience of key members of our team. This includes Matteo Marin, who brings in-depth experience in luxury travel and hospitality. Prior to joining Flospitality, Matteo worked as an Account Manager at the international travel trade show LE Miami and co-founded a successful MICE agency. In 2023, he joined us as Sales Manager in our London office and, since 2024, has led the establishment and development of our US office as Director of Business Development.
Our new consulting division is further strengthened by the communications expertise of Ulrike Barcatta, our Vice President of Communications. Since joining Flospitality in 2021, Ulrike has been responsible for PR and communications, with a content focus spanning food and beverage, culture, travel and lifestyle. Before joining us, she held roles including Director of Communications at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich.
The consulting team is also joined by Hironori Kaku, our new Junior Consultant, who completed his Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management at EHL Hospitality Business School, formerly known as École hôtelière de Lausanne. His expertise lies particularly in the analysis and evaluation of hospitality and brand experiences, as well as the design and management of digital projects. He has also gained international professional experience through roles including Digital Trade Project Manager at Philip Morris International in Lausanne, as well as in real estate and investment consulting in Tokyo.
Many of our hotel clients are family-run or owner-operated properties, known for their distinctive character, high standards of service and dedication to their guests. With this in mind, our new consulting unit places a strong emphasis on close, ongoing communication with our clients and partners, as well as the development of individual, tailored solutions that reflect each property’s identity, ambitions and long-term potential.
